Research Overview

In the future, I would like to transition into robotics applications in industrial and consumer environments. I aim to apply my knowledge and skills gained from my research in soft robotics to develop novel, compliant graspers for delicate object manipulation and handling. I believe this could be beneficial in industrial warehouses, where delicate objects of complex geometries need to be handled and manipulated safely. Additionally, I seek to leverage my expertise in soft haptics to develop state-of-the art wearables that can function in AR/VR environments and provide rich, multi-modal tactile feedback to the user. Haptic feedback in this scenario can restore intuitiveness to virtual interactions and improve the efficiency of collaborative tasks.

I aspire to create soft wearables that can provide realistic interaction with virtual objects in AWS immersive computing environments such as the industrial metaverse, immersive collaboration and augmented assistance.
